The EMC Design Challenge

Meeting EMC and EMI performance objectives is a classic and consistently challenging design problem driven by:

  • the need to comply with regulatory standards
  • avoiding mutual interference in “high density” design applications, or
  • “staying silent” in stealth applications.

EMSCAN’s set of tools is intended to help designers be highly productive in diagnosing and solving EMC design challenges, early in the development cycle.

EMSCAN’s Unique Technology, focused on a rapidly switched array of H field probes and powerful visualization tools is helping designers worldwide understand the source of their problems.

Very high speed scanning is particularly important for successful diagnosis:

  • enabling peak hold measurements,
  • finding correlate able events triggering problems,
  • uncovering problems created by intermittent sources.

Powerful Visualization Tools allow designers to readily link and explore spectral, spatial, and spectral/spatial representations of data (captured in the same instant) as well as make comparisons that provide further insights, eliminate local ambient effects, compare various design vintages, etc..
